The lacquer takes months to dry, and several lacquers have to be applied in order to obtain the desired final result. The deep red colour of this Suou pen is a traditional and noble colour, highly appreciated by the Henian aristocracy. Each Iro-Miyabi fountain pen is supplied in a Pauwlonia box, ink cartridges and a converter.
