It comes with a dropper, certificate of authenticity, specific Chinkin brochure, and hand-signed paper by Yasuji. The rooster motif is created in chinkin, a technique that uses special chisels to engrave a pattern on the lacquered surface. The design is infused with color by applying an additional layer of lacquer to the chisel tracings and embedding gold leaf or gold powder.
