Cap and barrel features burgundy-colored precious resin, referring to Kennedy´s famous Ivy League style that is inspired by his time at Havard University. The nib is inspired by the national hopes and dreams embodied Kennedy's pet project, the Apollo space program. It is a handcrafted 14K gold nib with the lunar module that landed on the moon in 1969 engraved. The three champagne-tone gold-coated cap rings stand for Kennedy's three brothers, the trims and the clip with champagne-tone gold-coated finish too, in addition, the initials JFK are engraved on the clip. The Special Edition is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in precious resin.
